ただいま
I'm back (said when arriving home)
The door goes, the bag hits the floor, and a man who has been no further than the shops announces himself like a stage act. Ta-da, I am home: ただいま.
The set reply is おかえり, or おかえりなさい. Used coming back to the office as well as the house.
