まいる
to go, to come (humble form)
You take yourself along and lower yourself in the doing of it. A mile まい of it, humbly, hat in hand. Shall we, then: まいる.
The humble form of 行く and 来る, used about yourself, where いらっしゃる is the honorific of the very same verbs and is used about somebody else. 参った on its own is admitting that you are beaten.
