かける
to hang, to put on
扌 a hand reaching up to a peg. The shirt goes over the hanger and stays there, holding its own weight: かける.
Stretches a long way. 電話を掛ける is to make a phone call, 眼鏡を掛ける is to put glasses on. All of them hang something on something. 入れる いれる is putting a thing inside something.
