かく
to draw
A hand puts a seedling of the thing down on the paper and grows it from there. The same かく as Michio Kaku writing in 書く, except that this one draws. It came out as a panda: かく.
Same reading as 書く, to write, and the same word as 描く えがく. 書く puts down words and 描く puts down a picture. かく for the everyday drawing, えがく when it is a proper depiction. 引く ひく is the other draw, pulling something.
