Running with yourself behind it, the same standing-up as 起きる, except that somebody made this one happen. Okay おこ, so そ he threw the first punch, and the whole street had a night of it: おこす.

Same word as 起こす "to wake up". 起きる おきる is a thing happening by itself; 起こす is somebody causing it.
