A person who counts as a thing in the company, the sort whose name keeps coming up in rooms he is not in. The same Jin じん, and a butsu ぶつ of a presence: じんぶつ.

Worth knowing

A person who counts for something, a figure rather than a body. 人 ひと is anybody, 方 かた is the polite one, 者 もの is plainer and often distant.
