つける
to attach, to set, to add
The same つける as the light, except that this one presses one thing onto another. Not the lamp this time — a freebie slipped into the bag on top of the order: つける.
Same sound as 点ける つける, which is for lights. This is attaching anything to anything, and it is the same 付 as 見つける. 付く つく is it sticking to something on its own.
