おりる
to get off, to go down
A mound, and somebody picking their way down off it. The same 降 as the full ふ buckets in 降る, except that this time it is you coming down: the bus is still moving and your hand is on the rail: おりる.
Same reading as 下りる おりる. 降りる is getting off or out of something: a bus, a train, a car.
