いただく
to receive, to take (humble form)
You take it with both hands and your own head goes down, and you do that even when the thing being handed to you is a duck いただく: いただく.
The humble version of 受ける and もらう: it lowers you, not them. It's also the いただきます said before eating. かかる is take in the sense of time spent, and 受け取る うけとる is taking delivery.
